At Ide Care For You, we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities to enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Manage and administer medications according to individual care plans.
• Accompany individuals on outings and appointments, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Promote independence and empowerment by encouraging and facilitating participation in decision-making processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices.
• Continuously evaluate and monitor progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals and their families.

Required Skills, Tools, and Years of Experience

• 12 months experience in a similar role
• CPR and First Aid certification
• NDIS screening check
