Director of HR and Financial Operations at Juristat


Join our dynamic team at Juristat as the Director of HR and Financial Operations. In this role, you will oversee all activities related to payroll, employee benefits, human resources processes, and financial operations to support the organization's success.


  • Supervise all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefits programs including reconciling reports.
  • Assist management in training and evaluating employees by managing required training programs and annual review process.
  • Screen applications/resumes, coordinate applicant testing, conduct interviews, complete relevant background checks, extend job offers, and coordinate onboarding.
  • Assist with cash management activities including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Support the monthly financial close process by working with an outsourced bookkeeping firm to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of accounts related to payroll and employee benefits.
  • Assist in employee expense management and reimbursement.
  • Document organization and digital filing for various teams.
  • Assist day-to-day, as well as ad-hoc, projects and requests from various business units within the organization; requires pulling information from various sources/systems.

Required skills, tools, and years of experience

  • English Professional Proficiency
  • 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in finance, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience managing human resources processes and/or leading cross-functional operations teams.
  • Working knowledge of accounts receivable, payroll, and benefits.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Drive environment. Must include Excel/Sheets and skills in record-keeping.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with information, communication, and exceptional organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform a broad variety of tasks and multitask.
  • Must be comfortable working remotely and with colleagues located across multiple time zones since most of our employees are based in the United States.
