María José Lorenzo

María José Lorenzo is the Director of Talent Acquisition at Near. She oversees the full recruiting operation and leads a team of 40+, including managers, recruiters, and hunters who are responsible for identifying and placing top Latin American talent with US companies. She has over six years of talent acquisition experience spanning staffing agencies and enterprise roles at IBM and Capgemini Engineering.
Her areas of expertise include building high-performing remote teams, designing retention and engagement strategies, and creating the organizational structures that make those teams last. At Near, she has driven a 10% annual increase in fulfillment rate, reduced average time-to-hire from 40 to 21 days, and built the company’s recruiting career paths and compensation framework from scratch.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Universidad de Belgrano and a Diploma in Organizational Coaching and Leadership from Universidad del Salvador.
