Key Takeaways
- The best executive search firms in Mexico for US companies are Hire With Near, Korn Ferry, Egon Zehnder, Russell Reynolds Associates, Heidrick & Struggles, Spencer Stuart, Stanton Chase, Amrop, Odgers, and Boyden.
- The best firm depends on the search. For a leader to run your operation in Mexico, the global firms with offices there are the fit; for a director, VP, or senior leader based in Mexico who joins your US team, Hire With Near is.
- Executive search firms rarely collect public client reviews, so this list qualifies firms on track record and a published Mexico office. Whichever you shortlist, ask who would run your search and which comparable searches the Mexico team has run.
The best executive search firms in Mexico for a US company are Hire With Near, Korn Ferry, Egon Zehnder, Russell Reynolds Associates, Heidrick & Struggles, Spencer Stuart, Stanton Chase, Amrop, Odgers, and Boyden.
Which one fits depends on the role you’re filling. Some searches are for a leader of your operation in Mexico, such as a country manager, a CFO for the Mexican entity, or a plant or operations director. Others are for a senior hire based in Mexico who joins your US team, such as a VP of Finance or a Head of Sales. The two call for different kinds of firms.
I selected 10 firms worth shortlisting and compared them on where they have offices in Mexico, who runs searches locally, which roles each handles best, and who each one fits.
I should be straight about one thing. Hire With Near is one of the ten. Our executive search service covers senior hires across Latin America, so I have an obvious stake here, and I’ll be clear about where another firm is the better fit.
How Did I Choose These Mexico Executive Search Firms?
For this list of executive search firms in Mexico, I only included companies that clear one of two bars.
- A rating of 4.5 or above from at least 50 client reviews on an established platform: G2, Clutch, Trustpilot, GoodFirms, or ClearlyRated, client ratings only.
- A verifiable track record with large, recognizable clients and decades of industry-recognized presence. That route applies when a company's client roster and market standing speak to a level of delivery quality that review platforms often don't capture.
The second bar does most of the work, since executive search firms are hired by a handful of people at the top of a company, under confidentiality, a few times a decade. That's not a type of business that accumulates public client reviews, and executive recruiters in Mexico are no exception: none of the firms in Clutch's Mexico executive search category comes close to 50 client reviews.
Then came the gate specific to this article. Every other executive search firm here names a Mexico office on its own site, which I checked on October 7, 2026.
In Mexico, every one of the largest global firms publishes an office, so this list runs longer than it would for a smaller market. The gate still did its job: it kept out firms that would run a Mexico search from outside the region.
Hire With Near is the one exception. We don’t have an office in Mexico; our recruiters specialize in Latin American talent and work from the region, and our listing below shows how we recruit senior candidates across Mexico for US teams.
Local standing matters because a senior miss is expensive. A 2024 Gallup analysis estimates that replacing leaders and managers costs around 200% of their salary. A firm that knows the market should also be able to advise you on it.
Anton Lipkanou, President and Head of Client Services at Delve, described what that looked like when his company hired through Hire With Near:
Hire With Near's team gave us confidence that we'd hire great talent quickly. They did a deep dive into our requirements, asked the right questions, and communicated our needs and goals back to us. They advised us on compensation, different talent markets, and our hiring process.
— Anton Lipkanou, President and Head of Client Services, Delve

What Are the Best Executive Search Firms in Mexico for US Companies?
The best executive search firm for you only becomes clear with the type of professional you're looking for. If it's a leader for an operation in Mexico, that's what nine of the ten firms' Mexico offices are built around. If it's a VP or director in Mexico who joins your own team, that's where Hire With Near is strongest.
The ten below aren't ranked. The right firm depends on the role you're filling, your budget and timeline, and how you like to work with a search partner. Treat this as a shortlist to start from.
Here's how these ten headhunters in Mexico compare:
Hire With Near

Website: hirewithnear.com
Mexico presence: Remote hiring across Mexico, no local office, with Latin American recruiters and hunters.
Rating: 4.9/5 on G2 (160+ reviews)
Sector focus: All departments, with Accounting & Finance as our top department in Mexico.
Hire With Near is a full-service staffing and recruiting agency that helps US companies hire top-performing remote talent in Latin America across all departments and industries, including senior leadership.
We’re on this list for one kind of executive search in Mexico: a director, VP, or senior leader who lives there and joins your US team. We run the search end to end, from sourcing and vetting to candidate presentation and onboarding support. Interviewing is free, and you pay only if you hire.
The track record behind that: according to Hire With Near’s 2026 State of LatAm Hiring Report, Mexico accounts for 9% of our placements, the fourth-largest country, and it’s one of our top three countries for both Accounting & Finance and Sales placements. Across all countries, 33% of our placements were senior-level, including VP of Finance, VP of Technology, COO, and Director of Supply Chain roles.
We’re also ranked No. 118 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. If you want the bigger picture of how our model works, our guide to hiring remotely in Latin America walks through it.
Key features:
- A filter with numbers behind it: We fill 97% of the roles we take on and hold a client satisfaction score of 9.1. The senior candidates you meet have already been through that filter.
- Senior shortlists, fast: You typically see a shortlist of candidates in 3 to 5 days. Most of our clients make a hire in under three weeks, so a leadership seat doesn't sit empty for a quarter.
- 180-day replacement guarantee: Double the industry standard. If a hire doesn't work out in the first six months, we find a replacement at no additional cost to you.
- Long-term retention: 80% of our hires stay 2+ years, long enough for a senior leader to build the institutional knowledge the role depends on.
Best for: US companies adding a director, VP, or head of function based in Mexico City, Guadalajara, or Monterrey who reports into the US team.
Limitations: We don’t have an office in Mexico, and we’re not a board or C-suite search boutique. For a board seat, or a CEO or country manager for a Mexican subsidiary, one of the global firms below is the better call.
Korn Ferry

Website: kornferry.com
Mexico presence: Offices in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Querétaro.
Track record: Global organizational consulting firm with one of the largest executive search practices.
Sector focus: No office-level focus is published. Individual team pages list practices that follow Korn Ferry’s global industries, such as financial services, life sciences and healthcare, advanced technology and professional services, consumer, and industrial in Mexico City, and technology and digital in Monterrey.
Korn Ferry's global offices page lists more Mexico offices than any other firm on this list. That reach matters when the leader you need will sit near a plant or operation outside the capital, in Monterrey or the Bajío.
The Mexico City and Monterrey office pages also publish named teams and practice leads, so you can see who covers your sector before you call.
Key features:
- Three cities, one firm: A capital-city search and a northern or central Mexico operations search can run through the same firm.
- One relationship across markets: If you already use Korn Ferry for US searches, you can run the Mexico search through the same relationship.
- Search inside a wider consulting firm: Executive search sits alongside Korn Ferry's broader organizational consulting work.
Best for: US companies running a multi-site or multi-country leadership search, hiring an operations leader in Monterrey or the Bajío, or already working with Korn Ferry.
Limitations: The team pages don’t say who runs executive search versus consulting work, and Querétaro lists a single consultant. Ask who will run your search and which office they work from.
Egon Zehnder

Website: egonzehnder.com
Mexico presence: Mexico City since 1982, in Santa Fe, with a team of 17 professionals.
Track record: Global executive search since 1964.
Sector focus: Consumer products, retail, industrial, financial services, life sciences, and health care.
Egon Zehnder has one of the longest-standing Mexico offices on this list. It opened in Mexico City in 1982, the firm's second office in Latin America.
Its Mexico City page says the team works with “the most important Mexican corporations, as well as the divisions of global multinationals based in Mexico.”
What sets it apart is the depth of its repeat work: the same page describes one longtime client for which it has handled four kinds of mandates.
Key features:
- Multi-country placements: For that longtime client, the firm has placed senior executives in 10 countries.
- Board and succession work: The same relationship has covered board assessments and a CEO succession.
- Integration support: It also helped that client through a post-acquisition cultural integration.
Best for: US companies hiring a CEO, country head, or C-suite leader for a Mexico operation, or making a board or succession decision there.
Limitations: Its work sits at the top of the organization, which makes it a heavy engagement for a director-level hire joining a US team. Its published Mexico presence is Mexico City only.
Russell Reynolds Associates

Website: russellreynolds.com
Mexico presence: Mexico City since 1994, Paseo de la Reforma.
Track record: Global executive search since 1969.
Sector focus: Not broken out by sector; the Mexico City team names its clients by type instead.
Russell Reynolds Associates made this list for who its Mexico City office serves. The team works with “family-owned enterprises, multinational corporations, and private equity investors,” according to its Mexico City page.
That mix matters when the mandate is bigger than one hire: a CEO for a family-owned business, leadership for a multinational's Mexico unit, or a team for a private equity-backed company.
Key features:
- Board effectiveness: How a board works, as well as who sits on it, is one of the team's named focus areas.
- Succession planning: Planning for the next leader runs alongside the search work.
- Leadership assessment and culture: The team also covers leadership assessment and development and organizational culture.
Best for: US companies making a board, CEO, or succession decision for a family-owned, multinational, or private equity-backed business in Mexico.
Limitations: Its published presence is Mexico City only. Its focus sits at the board and C-suite level, which can be more than a director hire joining a US team needs.
Heidrick & Struggles

Website: heidrick.com
Mexico presence: Mexico City and Monterrey.
Track record: Global executive search and leadership consulting firm.
Sector focus: Consumer markets, financial services, healthcare and life sciences, industrial, technology, and private capital, among others, plus CEO and board searches.
Heidrick & Struggles has offices in Mexico City and Monterrey, with consultants listed across both, so a search can draw on the same team in either city.
Its Mexico offices list search practices for financial officers, supply chain and operations officers, human resources officers, and AI and technology officers, alongside CEO and board searches. That suits industrial and plant leadership searches in northern Mexico, where the Monterrey office sits.
Key features:
- Two cities, one team: Consultants work across Mexico City and Monterrey, which helps when a search spans a plant in the north and headquarters in the capital.
- Practices for operating roles: Supply chain and operations, finance, human resources, legal and compliance, and marketing and communications officers are all listed search practices.
- Search plus leadership consulting and interim talent: The same offices list executive assessment, CEO succession planning, and interim executives, which helps when a hire is part of a wider leadership change.
Best for: US companies hiring industrial or manufacturing leaders in Monterrey, or consumer, financial services, and healthcare leaders for a Mexico operation, especially when they also want assessment or interim support alongside the search.
Limitations: Heidrick & Struggles lists two offices in Mexico, so a search based elsewhere, such as Querétaro or Guadalajara, runs from one of those two cities. Ask who would run your search and which office they work from.
Spencer Stuart

Website: spencerstuart.com
Mexico presence: Mexico City, in Molino del Rey.
Track record: Global executive search and leadership consulting firm founded in 1956, with 70+ offices in 30+ countries.
Sector focus: No office-level focus is published; the page says its consultants collaborate across industries and functions. Firm-wide industries include consumer, financial services, healthcare, industrial, private equity, and technology, media, and telecommunications.
Spencer Stuart has an office in Mexico City with a published team of consultants and senior associates, and its Mexico City page links to a Mexico Board Index and a Latin America CHRO Index. The page itself is light on practice detail, though: it doesn’t name practice areas for the office.
Key features:
- Board, CEO, and succession work: Board and CEO advisory, CEO succession planning, and executive assessment sit alongside executive search.
- Coverage across senior functions: Firm-wide, its search practices span financial, human resources, technology and digital, supply chain and operations, legal and compliance, marketing, and risk officers.
- Team-based assignments: The firm says it brings industry, functional, and geographic specialists together on each assignment.
Best for: US companies filling a board seat or CEO role for a Mexico operation, especially when board or CEO succession advice is part of the mandate.
Limitations: The Mexico City page doesn’t state practice areas for the office or say when it opened. Ask which consultants would lead your search and which Mexico searches they’ve run.
Stanton Chase

Website: stantonchase.com
Mexico presence: Mexico City since 1999, on Paseo de la Reforma.
Track record: Founded in 1990, with 70+ offices in 45 countries.
Sector focus: Industrial, consumer products and services, life sciences and healthcare, CFO and financial executives, and energy and natural resources.
Stanton Chase makes this list because of its deep, long-standing local footprint in Mexico’s corporate capital. Operating out of Paseo de la Reforma for over two decades, the practice combines a multi-decade local market network with the reach of an international search firm.
Rather than relying on fly-in partners, their Mexico City office keeps a dedicated team of local Managing Directors, Advisory Directors, and specialized consultants who specialize in regional executive candidate pools and local leadership dynamics.
Key features:
- Full C-suite range: Searches for CEO, CFO, COO, CMO, CHRO, CTO, and other senior roles.
- Beyond the search: Executive assessment, board services, succession planning, and executive onboarding.
- Finance leadership as a practice: CFO and financial executives is one of its named sector practices, useful for a finance leadership search.
Best for: US companies hiring a C-suite leader, especially a CFO, for an operation in Mexico City.
Limitations: Its page lists Mexico City only, with no Monterrey office. For a northern Mexico plant or operations leader, ask how the team covers that market.
Amrop

Website: amrop.com
Mexico presence: Monterrey and Mexico City, with 30 years' experience in Mexico.
Track record: Global executive search partnership since 1977, in 50+ countries.
Sector focus: Industrial, consumer and retail, energy and infrastructure, financial services, life sciences, professional services, and digital.
What stood out about Amrop is where its Mexico practice is rooted: Monterrey, with a second office in Mexico City. Most international executive search firms start in Mexico City and treat the industrial north as an afterthought. Amrop built its Mexican operation from Monterrey outward, giving it a genuine network in northern manufacturing and commercial hubs.
The local Mexican practice holds representation on Amrop's Global Board.
Key features:
- Industrial and northern market focus: A physical presence in Monterrey gives them direct access to executive networks in Mexico's primary manufacturing and industrial region.
- Integrated leadership advisory: Offers board evaluation and leadership consulting alongside executive search, eliminating the need to bring in a second advisory firm for board-level mandates.
- Specialized practice coverage: Dedicated local partner coverage spanning financial services, private equity, industrial manufacturing, and digital transformation.
Best for: US companies hiring a senior leader for an operation in Monterrey or northern Mexico, including industrial, consumer, energy, and private equity-backed businesses.
Limitations: Amrop's published sector list for Mexico is broad. Ask how many comparable searches the Mexico team has run in your industry.
Odgers

Website: odgers.com
Mexico presence: Mexico City and Monterrey, each led by its own managing partner.
Track record: Global executive search firm, rebranded from Odgers Berndtson to Odgers in 2025.
Sector focus: Industrial, consumer, agro-industrial, aerospace, media, oil & gas, IT, and healthcare.
Odgers earns its place on this list because it operates true local leadership nodes in both Mexico City and Monterrey, rather than treating northern Mexico as a remote satellite.
Having local partners leading execution on the ground in both major economic hubs gives them immediate access to both central corporate networks in CDMX and industrial executive pools in Monterrey.
Key features:
- Interim management: Offers short-term C-suite coverage to step in and keep operations running while a full permanent search is underway.
- Leadership advisory: Advisory work sits alongside executive search, useful if the need goes beyond filling one role.
- Dual-hub execution: Local execution capabilities built directly into both the capital and northern manufacturing markets.
Best for: US companies hiring a senior leader in either Mexico City or Monterrey, or that may need interim cover while the search runs.
Limitations: Sector focus lists for their regional offices aren't published separately. Ask the local team specifically about their recent search volume in your industry and region.
Boyden

Website: boyden.com
Mexico presence: Mexico City (Santa Fe), opened in September 2024.
Track record: Founded in 1946, one of the world's oldest global executive search firms.
Sector focus: Consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, supply chain, industrial equipment, automotive, and banking.
Boyden’s Mexico City practice is the newest entry on this list, but its local leadership brings decades of pre-existing executive search experience in the Mexican market.
Operating out of Santa Fe, Mexico City’s primary commercial and corporate headquarters district, the firm combines global brand equity with an established local candidate network.
Rather than relying on a generalist approach, its Mexico office relies on dedicated sector leads specializing in heavy industry, operations, and consumer markets.
Key features:
- Operations & supply chain depth: Dedicated focus on industrial equipment, automotive, and logistics, critical function areas for multinationals scaling local supply chains.
- Cross-industry execution: Broad capability across consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and corporate leadership roles.
- Full C-suite range: Executes senior-level searches for executive management, regional directors, and functional practice leads.
Best for: US companies hiring a senior leader in consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, supply chain, automotive, or banking for a Mexico City operation.
Limitations: The office itself has a short track record in Mexico, even though its partners' experience is long. Ask which comparable searches the partners have run in your sector.
Final Thoughts
The right executive search firm in Mexico depends on which search you’re running: a leader for your operation in the country, or a senior hire based in Mexico who joins your US team. Start with that decision, then talk to two or three firms that fit, and ask each who would run your search and which comparable searches the Mexico team has run.
If the search is a director, VP, or senior leader based in Mexico who reports into your US team, that’s the search Hire With Near is built for: a shortlist in 3 to 5 days, most hires made in under three weeks, and a 180-day replacement guarantee.
Book a free consultation and bring your role and your shortlist. Our team will walk you through how we run a search and tell you honestly whether we’re the right firm for it.
